Roberta "Bobbi" L. (Healy) Barton, 70, of Defiance, passed away on  Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. Bobbi was born on April 9, 1945 to Richard and Bernice (Patton) Healy in Defiance. She attended Defiance High School. On May 1, 1965 she married Robert Barton, who resides in Defiance. Bobbi worked at LaChoy Foods in Archbold for  20 years, retiring in 2010. She loved to crochet, she was an avid reader, and enjoyed bowling, and tending her flowers. Roberta was a huge Ohio State football and basketball fan.  She enjoyed riding on her husband's Goldwing motorcycle across the United States and Canada. Bobbi is survived by her loving spouse of 50 years, Robert Barton of Defiance, daughters, Debra (Dennis) Vajen of Defiance, and Dawn (Eric) Fox of Bryan, brothers, Richard (Phyllis) Healy of Defiance, Carl Healy of Bryan, and Bill (Vicky) Healy of Junction, sisters, Carolyn (Richard) Smith of Sherwood, and Patricia (Allen) Joseph of Bryan, and 2 Step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Bernice Healy. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Judy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
