Robert "Bob" L. Teegarden Robert "Bob" L. Teegarden, 80, of Defiance, Oh , passed away Monday evening, August 27th, 2018 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, surrounded by his family. He was born in Oakwood, OH on August 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Harley Burt and Ada Elanor (Forney) Teegarden. Bob served in the U.S. Army. He loved to hunt, fish, working in his yard, and be with his family and beloved grandchildren. Bob loved sports and was an avid Defiance Bulldog and Cleveland Indians fan. He had He was a member of The Gathering Place. He worked as a machine chief at Johns Manville for 41 years and retired in 1999. Bob married the love of his life Pamela K. (Marvin) Teegarden on Oct. 8, 1971. He will be greatly missed by his wife Pam, Sons: Robert Teegarden of Defiance, Charles 'Chuck' (Jenny) Teegarden of Sneads Ferry, N.C., Michael (Debbie) Teegarden of Donna, Texas. Daughters: Trina Teegarden of Defiance, Jacki Teegarden of Defiance, Venessa Rogers of Bryan. Sister: Ruth (Gene) Fenter of Oakwood, and sister in law Rebecca Gruden of Defiance, Brother: Clarence Teegarden of Mississippi, and brother in law Russell "Frank" Marvin of Melrose. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren and his beloved dog Beau. He was preceded in death by a daughter Terri Lucas, a grandson Eric Teegarden, sisters: Opal, Pearl, Evelyn and three died in infancy. Visitation is Friday 2-8 p.m. at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance. A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, at The Gathering Place 602 Clinton St. Defiance. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Buttermore, Rev. Carol Tetcher and Rev. Terry Porter. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with honorary military graveside rites. His family request donations to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
