Robert L. "Snuffy" Smith, 60, of Bryan, passed away on  June 20, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center. Snuffy was born on August 1, 1954 to Benton and Betty (Brown) Smith in Defiance.  He was a 1972 graduate of Defiance High School. Snuffy worked for Titan Tire Company, Bryan for 38 years retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union.  Snuffy enjoyed fishing, snow skiing, and golf. Snuffy is survived by his sisters, Kathy  Smith of Defiance, Nancy (Rodney) Bechtol of Defiance, Peggy (John) Hill of Huachuca City, Arizona, Sue  (Mike Royal) Smith of Defiance, and Marsha  (Michael) Nelson of Malinta, brothers, Gary Smith of Defiance, and Steve (Dana) Smith of Defiance, 11 nieces & nephews, and 15 great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Brenda Smith. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10:00 am at the UAW Park in Defiance.
