Obituary

Robert C. Sarka Sr. Robert C. Sarka Sr. 74, of Defiance, passed away Saturday morning, January 28th, 2017 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Defiance, Ohio on October 29, 1942, he was the son of the late Vern and Rita (Boff) Sarka. On July 30, 1988 he married Phyllis J. Borck who survives. Bob had worked at Fleetwood Travel Trailers in Edgerton for 15 years retiring in 2002. He has also worked at Central Transport and Beckman Chevrolet. He enjoyed going to car shows with his 1968 Pontiac Firebird. He also rode Harley Davidson motorcycles, was a fan of Ohio State, a member of the Eagles, and had special love of his dog Ginger Bob will be missed by his wife Phyllis, daughter: Tammy Cupp of Ayersville, son: Robert Sarka Jr. of Defiance, step Daughter: Trina Teegarden of Defiance, step sons: Robert Teegarden of Defiance, Chuck (Jenny) Teegarden of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. brother in law Jim Anderson of Defiance and step son in law Matt Lucas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, a sister Cleona Anderson and a step daughter Terri Lucas. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31st, with Rev. Janet Strickland officiating. Visitation is Monday 2-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner.
