Robert L.  Babcock, 65, of Defiance, passed away on  September 8, 2012 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born on March 8, 1947 to Robert Carter and Louella Babcock in Toledo, OH. On August 14, 1987 he married Marie Relyea. Robert and Marie lived in Defiance, Ohio.

Robert is survived by his loving spouse of 25 years Marie, son, Robert Lee Babcock Jr., daughter, Lorie Ann (Robert) Hawkins of Culloden, WV, son, Steven Ray Babcock of Culloden, WV, grandchildren, Alisha, Amanda, Steven Jr. When Butch was not doting on his grandkids he was often found enjoying Nascar, building model cars, or fishing.

He was preceded in death by father, Robert Carter, mother, Louella Babcock, first wife; Evelyn Marlene Anderson Babcock, and several aunts & uncles.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Junction Bible Christian Church at 11:00 am until 1:00 pm when the Funeral Services will begin, with Rev. C Joseph Fifer, officiating.
Interment will follow at Junction Cemetery.
