Robert M. Kirkland, 35, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Defiance Regional Medical Center. Robert was born on October 13, 1980 to Jack and Brenda (Zimmer) Craig in Dekalb, Georgia. He worked at Defiance Metal Products. Robert's twin daughters were his life. He enjoyed family and fishing, loved working with his hands, and was very handy. Robert was known by his friends as "Billy Bob". Robert is survived by his father and step-mother,  Jack and JoAnn Craig of Defiance, mother, Brenda Zimmer, twin daughters, Kaytlin and Lilian Kirkland, sisters, Jackie Perdue of Wauseon, Kelly Ray of Defiance, Michelle (Mike) Hoyt of Pasadena, Maryland, and  Ashley Pinkston, and brother, Solomon Meade of Defiance. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home on Sunday, October 18, 2015 with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Memorials are suggested to his twin daughters, Kaytlin and Lilian.
