Robert L. Eis, 79, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the CHP Defiance In-Patient Hospice Center.

He was born on March 11, 1933 to Lester and Mildred (McFeeters) Eis in Defiance, OH. Surviving him are his son, Tim (Anita) Eis of Oregon, OH, daughters, Julia (Dennis) Steele of Defiance, OH, Susan (Christopher) Clark of Troy, OH, brother, Paul (Alverna) Eis of Evansport, OH, sister, Marie (Burnell) Hammons of Paulding, OH, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Steven LaVerne Eis and a brother, Don Eis.

Robert served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Robert was involved with Defiance Little League Baseball where he coached for over 25 years. He was also an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. He was employed by Birkmeier's in Delphos as a stone cutter.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio .

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 11:00 am at Faith Tabernacle Church, Defiance, OH with Rev. Isaac Shelton, Jr. officiating.

Burial will take place in the Evansport Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to Faith Tabernacle Church.
