Robert P. Antoine, Jr., 63, of Paulding, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Paulding Hospital.

He was born on March 28, 1951 to Robert and Ingrid (Spatz) Antoine in Garmisch, Germany.  On December 31, 2001 he married Sue (Zedaker) Antoine.

Robert was a US Air Force veteran serving in the Vietnam War.  He retired from GM Foundry in 2001.  Robert was a member of the AMVETS and the Eagles of Defiance.  He enjoyed fishing & his Harley Davidson.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sue, sons, Robert James (Kristi) Antoine of Pensacola, FL, Dustyn Antoine of Columbus, daughters, Elizabeth (Dan) Joyce of Boise, ID, Christine (Dave) Nolan of Columbus, step-daughter, Pauletta Vaughn of Defiance, 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, brother, Randy (Angie) Antoine of Defiance, sisters, Roxanne (Ed) Nester of Defiance, Robin Casper of Defiance, and his mother, Ingrid Antoine of Defiance.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance with an AMVETS service will be held at 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m.  Thursday, July 31, 2014,  at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in  Riverside Cemetery where military graveside rites will be accorded by VFW Post 3360..
