Rita Kathryn Copsey, 81, of Defiance, passed away on  Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH

She was born on January 30, 1932 to Raymond and Mabel (Rittenhouse) Osborn in Defiance, OH.  On December 24, 1949 she married LeRoy Copsey.

Rita graduated from Defiance High School and was a Cafeteria Supervisor for Tinora Schools. She enjoyed antiquing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving spouse of 64 years, LeRoy, son, Dan (Linda) Copsey of Jewell, OH, daughter, Susan (Fred) Copsey-Pearce of Delaware, OH, grandchildren, Nathan Copsey, Austin Copsey, Emma  Copsey-Pearce, Step grandchildren, Brenda (Randy) Slattman, Jeannie (Perry) Mason, Leah (H.D.) Mowery, 10 step great grandchildren, 4 step great great grandchildren, brother, Ray Osborn Jr. of Defiance, OH and sister, Nancy Gearig of Defiance, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son David LeRoy Copsey in infancy, brother, Jack Osborn, and daughter-in-law, Joyce (Erford) Copsey.

Visitation will be held from 4-8pm Sunday at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013,  at  the funeral home with Pastor Tom Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery in Paulding County.
