Rita L. Kiessling, 78, of Butler, IN  passed away on  Friday,January 10, 2014 at Parkview Regional Hospital, Ft. Wayne.

She was born on November 7, 1935 to James and Sylvia (Marihugh) Miller in Defiance.  On March 19, 1960 Rita married Louis E. Kiessling and he passed away on January 31, 1991.

She was a member of the Butler Church of Christ, Butler, IN.  Rita enjoyed doing puzzles and watching football and NASCAR..

She is survived by her 4 sons, 3 daughters, 1 step-son,  4 step daughters, 1 sister, 3 brothers and several grandchildren &, great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Louis, 1 step-daughter, 2 step-sons, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2014 at  Schaffer Funeral Home with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Rev. Perry Porter officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
