Richard L. Robeson, age 78 of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Mercy Defiance Hospital. He was born on November 10, 1943 to the late Ora and Virgil (Ansley) Robeson in Paulding, Ohio. Richard was a 1963 graduate of Fairview High School. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1970 during the Vietnam War. Richard worked as a Lineman for Ohio Gas Company for 32 years until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Richard is survived by his daughters; Amy Robeson of Arizona, Leslie Ramey (David Khan) of Defiance, and April (Brian) Schuckman of Washington, and seven grandchildren; Derek, Christian, Callie, James, Kyla, Natalie and Gabriel. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Richard McKarns. There will be no visitation or services. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
