Richard McCoy Richard McCoy, 79, of Defiance, passed away Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 at Twin Rivers Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Nora, Virginia , on December 14, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert Mack and Bertie Marie (McCoy) McCoy. Richard retired from the Campbell Soup Co. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the banjo and harmonica, listening to blue grass music, mushroom hunting and playing cards. He loved spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by sisters: Emma Ethel Schultz of Sandwich, Illinois, Rebecca Stork of Ney, OH, Linda Anderson of Arizona brothers: Corbet (Celcia 'Sis') McCoy of Baltimore, MD, Teddy (Barbara) McCoy of Sandwich, Illinois, Jerry (Terrie Ankney) McCoy of Defiance and Michael Anderson. sister in laws: Barbara Oakley of Sandwich, Illinois, Pamela Johnson of Defiance, special friend Shirley Beiswenger and her children. Many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Jimmy McCoy, Roy McCoy, sisters and in laws: Betty & Dale Shelton, Lorine & Donald Grubbs. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 28th, . Visitation is Monday 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner. Burial will be in Brunersburg Cemetery.
