Richard W. Dyer Richard W. Dyer, age 61,of Defiance and formerly of Oakwood, Oh , passed away at 3:00 A:M , Friday, August 22nd, 2008 at Defiance Regional Medical Center. Richard was born in Lima, OH on April 28, 1947, he was the son of the late Richard J. and Thelma J. (Lovely) Dyer He attended Abiding by Faith Assembly Church in Findlay, Oh. . He was the husband of Jean (Holbrook) Dyer. They were married in 1965 and she survives in Payne, Oh. He worked as a quality control manager at several area manufacturing facilities for over 40 years. Surviving is a daughter: Kara Combs of Peralta, New Mexico and grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 daughters- Kimberly Weible and Laura Dyer. Also, preceded in death by a son, Kalin Dyer. There are no public services or visitation. Suggested memorials are to the funeral home.
