Richard "Ricky"
Cleo Beebe
October 10, 1954 – July 10, 2024
Richard "Rick/Ricky" Cleo Beebe passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2024, surrounded by his family. Rick was born on October 10th, 1954, to Richard "Dick" and Denise "Tyke" (Fitzenrider) Beebe. Richard married the love of his life Vivian Christine "Chrissy" (Yoh) Beebe on March 16th, 1990. Their marriage to each other was a testament to love, grace, forgiveness, respect, and honor. No matter what was thrown at them, they tackled it together. They set a great example for their kids to follow. Family was a huge part of Rick's life and he modeled beautifully how to be a husband, a father, and a friend to the very end. Rick's faith in Jesus propelled him to live and surpass all of doctors' expectations and thriving in life for 20 years since his diagnosis in 2004. In 69 years of his life, Rick lived most of his life in Defiance. Graduating from Defiance High School 1973 and then working for several local business to include: General Motors, owning his own radiator shop - Markare Radiator, to working at B&H Alignment, as well as Defiance Precision Products. He was not only a father, a grandpa but most assuredly "the biggest fan" of all his kid's and grandkid's extra-curricular activities and hobbies. He loved classic cars and to tinker on "Wheel Horse" lawnmowers. If you knew Rick in his younger days, he was always prepping something to go faster. There might have been a time when a wheel horse tractor was ripping it up and down Elbert St. just to see how fast he could get it to go. Rick was an avid baker of pies and cookies, and his cherry pie was fought over on several occasions on who got to take the extra home. Rick was ALL-IN when it came to his family and hobbies. Rick loved all kinds of motorsports and racing. Whether it was drag racing his Nova up and down Clinton St., "hanging it out high wide and handsome" at Bryan Motor Speedway, running up and down the road with his family to local dirt tracks racing all types of cars, to tractor and truck pulling. Rick is survived by his wife Chrissy of 34 years, his sister Tamara "Tammy" Foster - Oakwood, his brother David "Dave" and Toni Beebe - Fremont, and his brother Matthew Beebe - Defiance. He is survived by 6 children, his daughter Renae (Beebe) and Doug Brown - Bryan, his son Adam Beebe - Defiance, his daughter Dawn (Ordway) Willitzer and Brian Przepiora - Delta, his son Tim and Kary Ordway - Bryan, his son Tom and Jodi Ordway - Fayette, and his daughter Stacey (Ordway) McCoy - Stryker. Rick was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his mom Denise, his father Dick and great-grandson Kyler Huffman. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 10:00 am to 4:55 pm. at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson / Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. A Memorial Service will follow at 4:55 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Thomas Ordway officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family. Online condolences can be given at www.Schafferfh.com.
