Rex M. Musselman, 88, of Defiance, passed away on February 7, 2013 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance, Defiance, OH.
He was born on June 5, 1924 to Royal and Hazel (Donley) Musselman in Paulding Co., OH. Rex worked as a Set-up man for Defiance Precision Products for 42 years retiring in 1986.
On June 27, 1948 he married Norma Duerk, who survives.
He served in the US Navy from 1943 - 1946 as Seaman First Class during WWII. Serving in France, England, Scotland, Italy, North Africa, and Malta Island. He earned the American Theater Victory Medal, and EAME Ribbon for his service. He and his wife enjoyed 23 years of retirement at their lake home in Indiana. He enjoyed family gatherings, good food, and conversation..
Rex is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Norma, of Defiance, OH, a daughter, Mary (Douglas) Doblinger of Archbold, OH, and a son, Rex A. Musselman of Ann Arbor, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Blake Musselman, and Maynard (Grace) Musselman, a sister, Clela (Don) Garver.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Donald L. Luhring, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
