Obituary

Rex N. Caperton, 70, of Cecil, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, Ohio. He was born on May 1, 1945 to John and Tennie (Gambrell) Caperton in Waynesboro, Tennessee. On March 16, 1968 he married Susan (Leonard) Caperton, who resides in Cecil.  Rex was the youngest boy of 16 siblings, five of which are still living.  Rex was a church going, bible reading, true southern man. He had a very unique sense of humor. Rex had a love for cars and had owned well over 250 cars over the years. His first car was a 1956 4-door Chevy Bell Air Wagon. Rex will be greatly missed by his family; his wife of 47 years Susan, son, Robert Caperton of Cecil, grandchildren; MacKenzie, Autumn, and Andrew Caperton, and his great-grandchildren, Tristan and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Tennie Caperton, and ten siblings. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance, with Pastor Jay Scott officiating.
