Revella E Willitzer, 91, of Defiance, passed away on  Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance, OH.

She was born on October 15, 1921 to Michael and Evelyn (Liska) Breckler in Defiance Co. OH.  On September 7, 1946 she married Virgil F Willitzer and he passed away on March 27, 1985.

Revella was a member of  St. John's Catholic Church and the Christian Mother Altar Society.  She spent a lot of time outdoors tending her vegetable garden. Revella and her husband raised chickens and sold eggs to friends. She also helped with the planting and harvesting on the family farm in her younger years.

Revella is survived by her sons, Virgil J (Marguerite) Willitzer of Defiance, Michael (Mary Lu) Willitzer of Defiance, daughters, Evelyn (Gale) Williams of Lake Havasu, AZ, Nancy (Tim) McGee of Calabash, NC, Karen (Herb) Shaffer of Defiance, sisters, Mary Mansfield of Defiance, Reba & MaDonna Breckler of Defiance, grandchildren, David, Joel, Luke, Evan, Emily, Amanda, Allison & Abby Willitzer, Sally Clark, Rachael Ruhe, Christina Bernal, Jamie Shininger, Nancy, Steve & Jonathon Giesige, Patrick McGee, Katie Cheraso, Melissa  Longanecker, Erin & Chris Shaffer, 17 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Terri Willitzer of Defiance, and son-in-law, Tony Giesige of New Bavaria, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil F Willitzer, daughter, Mary Ann Giesige, son, Anthony Willitzer, grandchildren, Sara, Suzanne, & Betsy Willitzer, brothers, Michael & John Breckler and a sister, Evelyn Wurst.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Todd Dominique officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm Monday at Schaffer Funeral Home,  Defiance, Ohio.

The family suggest memorials be to St John's Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio or a charity of the donor's choice.
