Rene Jean-Louis Rene Jean-Louis, 68, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 5th, 2012 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on December 29, 1943, he was the son of the late Antoine and Juliette (Baillergeau) Jean-Louis. He was an employee of General Motors for more than 30 years. He had lived in Defiance since 1995. Rene married Yanick Chicoye on Dec. 29,1984. Surviving are his wife: Yanick, Daughter: Regine Jean-Louis of Defiance Sons: David Jean-Louis of Florida, Nathan Jean-Louis of Toledo Sisters: Marlene Jean-Louis of Brooklyn, NY, Solange Jean-Louis of Brooklyn, NY, Lourde Jean-Louis of Brooklyn, NY Brothers: Lionel Jean-Louis of Brooklyn. NY, Jacques Jean-Louis of Miami, Fl., Antoine Jean-Louis Jr. of Brooklyn, NY , Alex Jean-Louis of New York. In-laws: Claude and Gladys Chicoye of Montreal, Canada, Serge Chicoye of upstate NY, Jean and Anthonine Chicoye of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Mireille Chicoye of Montreal, Canada, Raymond and Myriame Chicoye of Cambridge, MA., Ketleen Chicoye of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He is also survived by 9 nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by a sister Edith Oriol. Services at Believers Church International 1600 Ayersville Ave. Defiance, Oh. at 11:00 a.m. next Saturday, November 17, with Apostle Michael Smith officiating. Visitation is next Saturday 9 -11, Nov. 17th, at the church before services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Defiance. A reception for a family for family and friends will be held after the services at the church. In lieu of flowers please give donations to the family.
