Rena L Coressel, 85, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday,  May 14, 2013 at the Laurels of Defiance.

She was born on April 20, 1928 to Cornelious and Clara (Koenn) Clark in Delphos, OH.

On July 26, 1952 she married Glenn Coressel and he passed away on October 18, 1989,

Rena was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church - Shepherd's of Christ.  Though the years she was very involved with various church activities.  She retired from Ames Department Store in 1992.

Rena is survived by her daughters, Diane Weber of Defiance,  Elaine (Bill) Warren of Defiance, Virginia (Dean) Layman of Ney,  son, Chuck (Valerie) Coressel of Indianapolis, IN, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glenn., daughters, Carol Florence-Harmon, Suzanne Keegan, Patricia Coressel, grandson, Christopher Florence, brothers, Charles, Ed &, Tom Clark.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m.Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance with a rosary service at 7 p.m..

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Allan Fillman officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Mary's Parish.
