Rebecca "Becky" Isabela  Perez, age 53, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday,  December 30, 2023 at Flower Hospital in Toledo, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 15, 1970 to Frank and Christine (Ortiz) Contrez in Hicksville. On December 21, 1988 she married Juan "Alex" Perez who survives. Becky worked as a custodian for Bud's Restaurant in Defiance for 5 years. She enjoyed crafting, watching spooky movies, collecting anything with frogs, loved Meek's cookies and most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.

Becky is survived by her loving spouse of 35 years, Juan "Alex" Perez, her children, Patricia (Levi) Perez, Alex (Kaylee) Perez, Mamie (Sean) Perez, Teresa (Anthony) Perez, Ruben (Sara) Perez and Juan (Elizabeth) Perez, 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and her brother, Mauel Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, George and Albino Martinez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.
