Raye Ann Sanders, 63, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Toledo Hospital.

She was born on April 28, 1953 to John and Gwendolyn (Klima) Layman in Defiance, Ohio. Raye Ann enjoyed reading, crocheting, and Jeopardy Trivia . She loved spending time with her children, family, and her beloved companion Audrey the cat.

Raye Ann will be sadly missed by her son, Logan Sanders of Hilliard, Ohio, daughters, Jamie Shank of Defiance, and Beth Anne (Stewart) Rosendaul of Bryan, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, father, John H. Layman, Sr., two brothers, John (Amalia) Layman, Jr. of Hawaii, and Larry (Sallie) Layman of Arizona, 3 sisters, Rebecca (Russell) Pfeifle of California, Francie (Marty) Bawden of Utah, and Beverlie (Randy) McCoy of Defiance, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Layman.

Private services will be held at a later date.
