Ray W. Meyers, 66, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, March 26, 2015 at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio.

He was born on November 21, 1948 to William and Leola "Dolly" (Vorhees) Meyers in Lima, Ohio. On May 26, 1972 he married Sue (Lautermilch) Meyers, who survives. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting. He was a avid Ohio State fan, and he loved spending time with his family.

Ray is survived by his loving spouse, Sue Meyers of Defiance, mother, Leola Meyers of Wapakoneta, Ohio, son, Greg (Christine) Meyers of Defiance, daughter, Lindsey (Brian) Niese of Leipsic, grandchildren,  Hendrix Meyers, Beckett  Meyers, and Kelly Limbaugh.  A brother, Jerry (Cindy)  Meyers, and sister, Nancy (Bill) Poppe, all of Wapakoneta.

He was preceded in death by father, William Meyers.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2014 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio. Memorials are suggested to the Defiance Baseball Association, Defiance Girls Softball Association, or to CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center
