Randy J. Higgins, 65, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born on November 20, 1953 to the late James and Peggy (Snider) Higgins in Defiance. On October 21, 1988 he married Sara (Mansfield) Higgins, who resides in Defiance. Randy worked as a driver for Keller Trucking and Hornish Brothers Trucking. In his leisure time he enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing. Randy loved spending time with his family.

Randy will be greatly missed by his wife of  30 years, Sara Higgins of Defiance, two daughters, Beth Higgins of Bryan, Ohio, and Jamie Higgins of Defiance, three sons, Matthew Brubaker of Defiance, Chad Brubaker of Defiance, and Eric (Debbie) Brubaker of Bryan, 8 Grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Sue (Jim) Stoll of Delta, and brothers, David (Vickie) Higgins and Kevin (Annette) Higgins, all of Defiance. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Colton Brubaker. There will be no services at this time. Schaffer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
