Ralph  Dellinger, 84, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, February 11, 2013 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

He was born on February 7, 1929 to William and Lillie Dellinger in Lima, OH.   On  March 27, 1950 he married Patricia Ann McGue and she passed away on May 28, 1974.

Ralph was a member of  Defiance Church of Christ. He was retired from  Dana-Weatherhead in Antwerp, OH.  He was an Ohio State football fan, an avid Cleveland Browns fan and he loved to travel with his family and grandkids..

Ralph is survived by his daughters, Vicki Lynn Dotson of Defiance, Kathy Diane (David) Metz of Defiance, grandchildren, Adam (Mary Beth) Metz of Columbus,  Abbey (Jason) Raike of Toledo, Andrew (Sandra) Metz of Napoleon, great grandchildren, Clark, Clementine, & Cecilia Metz,  Austin & Dylan Raike & David & Clayton Ellis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Pamela Dellinger, brother, Earl Dellinger and a sister, Edith Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home,  Defiance with Ministers Adam Metz and Bob Sheppard officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held  from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
