Rafael V. Alberti MD Dr. Rafael Viriato Alberti - Pimentel, 73, of Defiance, Ohio , passed away at 2:52 A:M , Thursday, August 13th, 2009 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. He was born in Bani, Dominican Republic on October 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Raul Viriato and (Alicia) Caridad Pimentel Alberti. Dr. Alberti was an Obstetrician/Gynecologist at Defiance Clinic from 1971 until his retirement in 2003. He graduated from the University of Santo Domingo School of Medicine in 1960. He served his internship/residency at Akron City Hospital, Akron, Ohio. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Marysdale. In 1961 he married his first wife Altagracia Gonzalez. On Feb. 8, 1991 he married Lisa Ann (Brown) and she survives in Defiance. Besides his wife Lisa, surviving are Two Daughters: Alili Anderson of Visalia, Ca.. and Anna (Alan) Kinkle of Alexandria, La. Two Sons: Rafael (Susan) Alberti of Gulf Shores, Al. and Carlos (Holly) Alberti of Trinity, Al. Two Sisters: Carmen Maria Ivonne Alberti Pimentel and Maria de La O Alberti Pimentel. A Brother: Raul Viriato Alberti Pimentel. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. Preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Edith Monserrat Alberti Pimentel A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, Oh. at 10:00 A:M on Monday, August 17th, .
