RACHELL GUSTIE COCHRAN, 92 years of age of Defiance, OH, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away November 3, 2015 at The Laurels of Defiance, Defiance, OH, following an extended illness. Born in Paynesville, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Mandy Jane Keen Clevinger. She was a resident of Buchanan County many years and was raised on Belcher's Fork and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. Mrs. Cochran was a sales clerk at L&M Grocery and at Grundy Drugstore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Trinkle Cochran; 1-Granddaughter: Cynthia Louise Muncey (1986); 5-Brothers: Fred, Jimmy, Larkin, Gilbert and John Frank Clevinger; 3-Sisters: Alice Coleman, Louisa Owens and Stella Dales. Those left to cherish her memory include 5-Daughters: Brenda (William) Cavanaugh, Defiance, OH, Anna Lee (James) Chapman, Fleming Island, FL, Rachel Christine (Jim) Osborne, Guntersville, AL, Louisa Jane (Leonard) Laporte, Utica, MI, Joey Danelle Cochran, Green Cove Springs, FL; 3-Sons: John "J.B." Brice (Peggy) Cochran, Defiance, OH, Larry Trinkle Cochran, Green Cove Springs, FL, Brett Eric (Patricia) Clevinger, Indianapolis, IN; 2-Sisters: Jean Clevinger St. Clair, Grundy, VA, Polly Ann Bateman, Shuqualak, MS; 30-Grandchildren, 58-Great-Grandchildren and 20-Great-Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Services for RACHELL GUSTIE COCHRAN will be conducted Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating with burial to follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
