Peggy Jean Steel, 59, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday,  June 14, 2017 at Mercy Defiance Hospital.

She was born on January 29, 1958 to Leo "Bud" and Marjorie (Groh) Steel in Defiance. Peggy worked for almost 20 years as a supervisor for Quadco. She attended First Assembly of God in Defiance. Peggy was a donor to the N.W. Ohio Tissue Bank.

Peggy is survived by her sisters, Vickie (Rick) Kiessling, Mary (and the late Louie) Combs, and Kathy (Bob) Masterson, brothers, David (and the late Nancy) Steel, and Ronnie (Marilyn) Steel, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruth (George) Underwood, and nephew, Bobby Steel.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will take place at Sherman Cemetery in Paulding County.
