Pedro Ramos, age 84 of Defiance, went to be with The Lord on Saturday morning, August 27, 2022 at Defiance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance, Ohio. He was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on February 23, 1938 to his late parents, Jose and Frustudosa (Hernandez) Ramos. On November 12, 1985 he married Esther (Fuentes) Ramos, who survives. Pedro proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Pedro was a faithful member of Bethel Worship Center in Defiance. He loved to sing, and was an Evangelist for 50 years in many states across the country. He will be tenderly remembered by his family and friends for his service and strong connection to The Lord, knowing that he is forever at peace in God's home. Pedro is survived by his loving wife, Esther, his son, Pedro (Valerie) Ramos of Casselberry, FL, his daughter, Evelyn Figueroa of Defiance, two sisters, Francisca Ramos and Marynes Biedrzycki, both of Milwaukee, WI, and his stepson, Bernie Vallejo of Defiance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarai Gariga, and stepson, Ruben Vallejo. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022 at the funeral home, with Pastor Rosie Perez officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by VFW #3360. Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
