Pauline Westrick, 88, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Defiance, passed away on  September 23, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on January 13, 1926 to Paul and Mary (Kinsey) Carter in Sturgis, MI. On October 10, 1953  she married Louis Westrick who passed away February 15, 1994.

Pauline was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance. She was retired from General Motors. Pauline was part owner of Westrick Tax Service and was beside Louie when he founded Employee Own Federal Credit Union (Midwest Community Federal Credit Union), Defiance..

Pauline is survived by her son, Dean (Ann) Westrick of Seneca, SC, granddaughters, Tina Westrick  and April McClellan of Sarasota, FL, grandsons, Scott (Dianna) Westrick of Cecil, OH, and Dean Westrick, Jr. of Seneca, SC.  and granddaughter, Tracy (Tom) Clapsaddle of Thorton, CO. Great-grandchildren, Michael McClellan,   Shelly McClellan, Joe McClellan, and Courtney Infanger of Sarasota, FL, Austin Westrick and Audrey (Westrick) Swanson of Cecil, OH,  Julia Collins and Katherine (Katie) Clapsaddle of Thorton, CO, Ashton Westrick and Owen Westrick of Seneca, SC. 3 great-great grandchildren Jayden Hartley, Jeniyah Hartley, of Sarasota, FL and Brantlee Swanson, of Cecil, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents,Paul and Mary Stevens, husband, Louis Westrick, son, Steven Westrick, grandson, Nathan Clapsaddle, brothers, Ronnie Stevens, Dale Stevens, and David Stevens and sister, Loreen Connley.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11am, Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church Defiance, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014, 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow  at Riverview Memory Gardens.
