Pauline Annabelle (Norden) Block, 98 Defiance, Ohio died October 1, 2011 at CHP Defiance Area In-patient Hospice Center, Defiance. She was born September 29, 1913 in Defiance, Ohio the daughter of Fred Johann, and Anna Margaret (Luderman) Norden. On November 4, 1935 she married Charles H Block who died June 30, 2004. She was a homemaker, a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Defiance. She was a Charter Member of the Live and Learn Home Demonstration Club. She was a member of the Defiance County Genealogical Society and a member of the Antique Bottle Association. Pauline loved flowers, gardening and most of all her loving family. Surviving are one daughter Jane (Wlliam) Parker, Defiance Three sons Harry (Ruth) Block, Philip Block, Defiance and Arthur (Jennifer) Block, New Albany, Ohio. Six Grand Children: Jennifer Call, Jonathan Block, Susan Geier, Patricia Block- Gage, Daniel Block and Megan Block. Three Great-children: Jerell Call, Madeline and Catherine Geier. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents, her two sisters, Ruth (Norden) Arthur, Lavina (Norden) Andrews and two brothers, Arthur and Harold Norden. Visitation for Pauline Block will be held on Tuesday October 4, 2011 from 2:00 - 8:00PM at the Lawson - Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Defiance with Pastor David Brobston officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family prefers memorials to St. Paul Lutheran, Defiance or CHP Defiance Area In-patient Hospice Center.
