Paula Rae Cooper, 75, of Defiance, passed away on  September 7, 2014 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was the daughter of  Paul C. & Ethel B. (Felzer) Warnke, and the late James Rankin Jr. Paula worked as a Laborer for Johns Manville for over 10 years. In 1977 she married Larry "Bud" Cooper who passed away in 1997.

She was a member of the First Church of God.  Paula enjoyed spending time with her family, and doting upon her grandchildren. She touched many lives, loved everyone, and was loved by all who knew her.  She will be sorely missed.

Paula is survived by her loving son, John (Jennifer) A. Burdine, Jr. of Defiance, OH, grandchildren, Johnny A. Burdine III, Amber Miller, Harlie Miller all of Defiance, OH, Siblings, Larry (Ann) Rankin of Ayersville, OH, & Judith Myers of Oakwood, OH, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Larry "Bud" Cooper, brother, James "Butch" Rankin, and brother-in-law, Melvin Myers.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014, 1:00 pm at the Schaffer Funeral  Home, Defiance, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Kennedy, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.
