Paula Jean (Sprow) Fisher, age 57, of Defiance, passed away surrounded by her loved ones, on Saturday evening, August 15, 2026.

She was born in Defiance on June 9, 1969 to Timothy and Marnie (Buckmaster) Schwiebert. Paula was a graduate of Defiance High School and worked for over ten years as a Quality Inspector for Sanoh America Inc. in Archbold, Ohio.

Paula was a member of Defiance Fish and Game and enjoyed going to the shooting range with her family. She enjoyed collecting sugar skulls and angels, taking care of her grandson, spending time with her daughter and step-grandkids, and date nights with her boyfriend. Paula will be greatly missed. She was a very loving daughter, mother and grandmother, and has made precious memories with her family.

Paula is survived by her mother, Marnie Schwiebert, her daughter, Sara (Dustin) Oma Jean Egler, brother Randy (Connie) Sprow, grandson, Colten Lee Egler, her boyfriend, Brent Allen, nieces, Brittany, Courtney and Chelsea, her beloved pets Sophie and Ohso, and her cousins, Keith Gallant, Kevin Gallant, Matt Bishop, Amber Bishop, and Kelly Williet.

She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Schwiebert, and grandparents, Paul and Grace Buckmaster, aunt Jo Gallant, and cousin Jeff Gallant.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 4-8 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, August 21st at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Paula will be laid to rest in Brunersburg Cemetery.
