Obituary

Paul E. Curtis, 67, of Mark Center, passed away on  Friday, October 30, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, Ohio. He was born on December 13, 1947 to George and Marie (Bunn) Curtis in Defiance, Ohio. On March 19, 1966 he married Linda Donley-Merz Curtis, who resides in Mark Center. Paul worked at General Motors for 40 years, retiring in 2009.  He also worked at Defiance Steel and Auglaize Stone Quarry. Paul was a member of AmVets #1991 and Defiance Moose Lodge. He loved to hunt and spend time with his grandchildren. Paul enjoyed country music, especially Barbara Mandel. Paul is survived by his loving spouse of 49 years, Linda Curtis of Mark Center, son, Tony (Gert) Curtis of Oakwood, daughters, Regina (Andy) Gallardo of Defiance, and Loretta (Jeff) Feeney of Defiance, Grandchildren:, Shane and Mandi, Jack and Heather, Shannon "Barb" and Jason, Tashia "Sis"and Jeremiah, Jeff  "JJ" and Sara and Tony Jr. "Bubba" and Emily, brother, Johnny (Donna) Lantow of Douglas, Wyoming, sisters, Grace Mast of Defiance, and Dianna Rayle of Continental, a special cousin that Paul loved like a brother, Steve Black, great-grandchildren:  Avin, Tucker, Kaiden, Tristan, Kamren, Sarah, Jackson, O'Koner, Brooklyn, Sophia, Sawyer and Emma Lou. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie Curtis, grandson, Shawn Paul Antoine, sisters, Penny Speiser and Marjorie Mast, brothers-in-law, Dean Mast, Dale Donley, and Ronnie Rayle, and niece, Amy Speiser, and a special loved one, Tracy Vance. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral  Home, with Rev. Perry Porter officiating . Memorials are suggested to the family.
