Patrick "Pat" Weber, 82, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, OH.


He was born on September 9, 1932 to Frederick "Hap" and Jane (Ryan) Weber in Defiance. On December 29, 1952 he married Marian Bates. They were married  for 61 years.

Pat was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance. He was also a member of the Elks, served for many years as a Boy Scout Leader, and was an R & R volunteer.  Pat co-owned and operated Defiance Memorials, Inc for 24 plus years.

Pat is survived by his wife, Marian, son, Steve (Jessie) Weber of  Defiance, granddaughters, Sarah (James) Burns of Toledo, Alyssa Kelm,  and Brittney Kelm of Defiance, great-grandchildren, Austin Burns, Emileigh Burns, and Owen Burns, of Toledo, and son-in-law, Bill Scheurich of Paulding, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Amy Scheurich, a daughter and son in infancy, sister, Mary Catherine Bobinchak, brother, Max Weber, and  brother, Virgil Weber.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio with a Vigil service at 2:30 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014, 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio, with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating.
A private family burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

The family requests memorials be directed to Boy Scout Troop 76, St. Vincent de Paul, and St. Mary Food Pantry.
