Patricia J. Whatman Patricia J. Whatman, 79, of Defiance, passed away Friday, October 12th, 2012 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on September 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Davidson) Pfahler. She was the widow of Eugene Whatman who died in 1978. Patricia had worked for Interim Healthcare. The Laurels Care Center of Defiance and Murphys. She as a member of Grace Episcopal Church and had attended North Dover United Methodist. She was a member of the Defiance Moose and Defiance Eagles auxiliary. Pat enjoyed camping and caring for others. She will be sadly missed by daughter: Belinda (Michael) Mack of Defiance, sons: Rick (Patty Goodwin) Whatman of Defiance, Steve(Jennie Smith) Whatman of Defiance sisters: Elaine Hall of Fruitland, Florida, Helen Bollinger of Tiffin, Janice Creps of Sabina, Ohio, brother: Paul Pfahler of Lakeland, Florida. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by three brothers: David, John, and James Pfahler, four sisters: Mary Strong, Margaret Hudnall, Maxine Smith and Joanne McKee. A great grandson Justiono and a great granddaughter Jaime Lee. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15th, with Rev. Grant T. Nicholls officiating. Visitation is Sunday 2-8 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
