Life-long resident of Defiance, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother,  Patricia Ruth Andrews, 84, passed away on  July 14, 2014 at the Defiance CHP .

She was born on March 22, 1930 to Vernon and Florence (Weippert) Hendricks in Defiance, Ohio.  She was a past member of the Defiance Hospital Auxiliary, and a  past Executive Director of the Tuberculosis Association. She was a home maker, volunteered with community organizations, and worked for the Defiance County Board of Elections.  Pat will miss her friends with the Lunch Bunch, Wednesday night dinner group and her bridge club.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jerry;  daughters and best friends, Michelle (Wesley) Speed of Birmingham, AL, and Mary Beth (William) Dunn of Archbold, OH, her four grand daughters, who all thought they were her favorite, Mary Jeanne (Alan) McRee, Elaine (Jeff) Burns, Jacquelyn Dunn, Emma Dunn, five great grandchildren, and a sister, Carolyn (Junior) Schwab of Napoleon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held  at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 1-2 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
