Patricia J Morgan, 70, of Defiance, passed away on  Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on October 17, 1943 to Bernard and Lucille (Reed) Gutman in Defiance,

Patricia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, an auxiliary member of VFW Post 3360 and an auxiliary member of Amvets Post 1991.  She enjoyed family and social networking.  She retired from Johns Manville in 2005.

Patricia is survived by her son, Jeff Unverferth of Defiance, daughter, Brenda (Nathan) Unverferth-Brumbaugh of Defiance, 6 grandchildren and 6 1/2 great grandchildren, sisters, Marion (Albert) Mekus of Defiance,  Dorothy (Albert) Coressel of Defiance, and Margaret "Peg" (Ralph) Coressel of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard & Robert Gutman.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 and from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Schaffer Funeral Home.  A Rosary service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday.   Mass of Chirsitan Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Randy Giesige officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

The family suggest memorials be directed to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or to CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.
