Patricia A. "Patty" Anderson, age 63 of Defiance, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on January 8, 1959 to Jay and Garnet (Worden) McCoy in Defiance, Ohio. Patty was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother and she treasured her time spent with her family. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed decorating, and she adored her dogs. Patty will be sadly missed by her children; Paul Anderson, Heather (Aaron) Burkhart and Melissa Anderson, all of Defiance, her grandchildren; Victoria, Caleb, Keyera, G'Onna, Kahlil, Kameron and Dominic "Newnee". She also leaves behind her siblings; Linda DeTray of Defiance, Jeanne (Don) Hartzel of Hamilton, IN,  LaDonna Verfaille of Paulding, and Jim (Denise) McCoy of Continental. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved dogs, Beans, Fatboy and Sissy. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
