Orville "Bud" L. Cox, Sr., 64, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born on October 12, 1947 to Nellie Cox - Daniels and Orville Hicks in Lockbridge, WV. Orville is survived by his daughters, Priscilla Cox of Defiance, OH, Vanessa Cox of Defiance, OH,  Barbara Cox Gross of Knoxville, TN, ex-wife, Jane Held Cox Schroeder of Columbus Grove, OH, sons, Orville Cox, Jr.,of TN, Michael Cox of TN,  David Cox, TN, 8 grandchildren, brother, Curtis Cox of Lockbridge, WV, sisters, Betty (Joseph) Pomponio of Lewisburg, WV., Rita (Delmas) Beavers of Hines, WV., and Alfreda (David) Tincher of Lockbridge, WV.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Orville worked at the Campbell Soup Company retiring early due to medical problems.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He and his best friend, Rosalie Parcher, enjoyed going to second hand stores to hunt for treasures for Bud's collections. Bud also relaxed by taking walks through beautiful Riverside Cemetery, with his close friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 07, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held  Monday, October 8, 2012, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating.

Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
