Orville "Fritz" F. Smith, Jr. Orville "Fritz" F. Smith, Jr., age 62, of Defiance, passed away Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at Laurels of Defiance. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on December 11, 1955, he was the son of the Orville F. and Julianne (Minck) Smith. Fritz was a graduate of Tinora High School and had worked at Dinner Bell. Surviving are his parents, a sister Elaine Smith of Hinsdale, Ill. a brother Kent Smith of Defiance, four nieces and a nephew. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17th, with Deacon John Weber officiating. Visitation is Saturday 10 - 11 a.m. at Lawson-Roessner.
