Norman W. Jones, III, 56, of Ottawa, Ohio,  fondly known as  "Stormin' Norman",  passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Rita's Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center in Ottawa, Ohio.

He was born on December 26, 1959 to Norman and Eleanor (Warman) Jones in Trenton, New Jersey. On October 27, 1979  he married Barbara (Kowalik) Jones, who resides in Ottawa, Ohio.

Norman worked at General Motors in Defiance for 38.3 years. He was a member of UAW Local 211, NWTF, Leipsic Rod and Gun Club, Canoe Mountain Gun Club, and he was a life member of the NRA. He loved turkey and deer hunting, Notre Dame football, Maui, and writing. He was a published author of "The Tales of Kuser Mountain".

Norman will be sadly missed by his family; loving spouse of  37 years, Barbara Jones of Ottawa, daughter, Janet (Nile) Luttrell of Lima, Ohio, sons, Daniel Jones of London, Ohio, Kyle (Melissa) Jones of Cincinnati,  and Jeremy (Amanda) Jones of Columbus, Ohio, and his grandchildren:, Ashlynn, Madilyn, Nolan, and Riley.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance.
