Norman T Baker, 80, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance.

He was born on August 11, 1933 to Clark and Lucille (Cotton) Baker in Montpelier. On July 28, 1956 he married Barbara Ann Ort who preceded him in death on January 29, 2009.

Norman worked for the Ohio Laborer's District Council & Contractor's Pension Fund of Ohio Local #500 retiring in 1993 after 30 years. He also worked at different times for NYC Railroad, Bryan Metals & Johns Manville. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Warand was a member of the American Legion Post #284. He read his Bible daily. Norman enjoyed using the public library and reading. He also enjoyed the great outdoors and animals, he especially loved to fish..

Norman is survived by his daughters, Sonia Lee Bussing of Defiance, Desiree Lyn (Don) Dunbar Jr. of Paulding, grandchildren, Shaun (Alexandria) Bussing of Defiance, Logan & Hailey McDaniel of Paulding, great-granddaughter, Sophia Grace Bussing of Defiance, sister, Betty Mae Curry of CA, and a brother, James Baker of Bryan,

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, Howard Warren.

A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Brunersburg Cemetery with Pastor Timothy G Reynolds officiating.
