Obituary

Norma Mae Bailey, 87, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at The Kingsbury House in Defiance. She was born on May 18, 1928 to William and Elsie (Friend) Schwader in Defiance. She was a 1946  graduate of Sherwood High School. On April 25, 1948 she married Lowell Bailey, who preceded her in death on October 28, 2015. Norma was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Defiance. She worked for several years as a cashier and clerk at the Holiday Lanes. She was also a member of WIBC Women's International Bowling Congress, and The Women's Bowling Association. Norma loved bowling, and enjoyed gardening, playing pool and cards. Norma will be sadly missed by her family and everyone that knew her. Norma is survived by daughters, Diana (David) Kunesh of Defiance, and Sally White of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son, Bruce (Donna) Bailey of Defiance, Grandchildren:, Nicole (Mark) Kunesh-Styers, Andrea (Chris) Kunesh-Allison, Holly (Chris) Moss-Earl, Joseph Moss, Jacob Moss, McKala (Jason) White-Gobel, 12 great-grandchildren, and sister Velma (Paul) Schliesser of North Olmsted, Ohio She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lowell Bailey, sisters Leona Mast and Marjorie Waltenberger, and brother William Schwader Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Defiance. Funeral services will  follow at 12:00 noon at the church, with  Pastor Timothy Reynolds officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.
