Nancy L. Wilson, 84, of Defiance, died Tuesday, June 30th 2015 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Columbus, OH on March 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise (McDonald) Loder. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Shepherd's of Christ prayer group and a church greeter. Nancy was also a Defiance Regional Hospital volunteer, a DASH Volunteer, a State Bank popcorn "popper," and a school reading aid. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She married Robert Wilson in 1954 who died April 26, 1991. Nancy will be missed by daughters: Ellen Hara of Los Angeles, Laura Shalter of Houston, Sue (Matt) Mayer of Defiance son: John (Nancy) Wilson of Defiance. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; Sara (T.J.) Earnshaw, Jill Wilson, Michael Wilson, Audra Hara, Jared Hara, Austin Shalter, Lydia Shalter, Elizabeth Mayer, Tony Mayer and 2 great grandchildren: Thomas and Braydon Earnshaw. Preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Friends are invited to call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a 7:30 p.m. Vigil Service Thursday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
