Nancy S. Shock, age 96 of Defiance, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday morning, August 4, 2022 at VanCrest of Hicksville, Ohio. She was born on August 24, 1925 to the late Marvel and Eunice (Osgood) Miller in Toledo, Ohio. Nancy was a 1943 graduate of Defiance High School. On November 17, 1947 she married Kenneth L. Shock, who preceded her in death in September, 1999. Nancy was a member of American Legion Post #253 in Antwerp, OH. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nancy was a proud homemaker, and her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nancy will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rhetta C. LaFountain of Hicksville, OH, her grandchildren, Cory Boroff of Annadale, VA, Curt (Mercedes ) Boroff of Antwerp, OH, and Shelah (Jason) Cheek of Defiance, and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Shock, and her daughter, Diana L. Andrews. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. The family will have a private graveside service. Memorials are suggested to Friends of Felines.
