Mourissa A. Holifield, 21, of Ney, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 22, 2022. She was born on April 19, 2001 to Michael and April (Hauser) Holifield in Toledo, Ohio. Mourissa enjoyed drawing, gaming, and animals. She showed such courage and strength through her battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Mourissa is survived by her parents, Michael and April Holifield of Ney, OH, her sister, Lauren Murbach of North Baltimore, OH, and her grandfather, Michael Hauser of Ney, OH. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Linda Hauser and Charles and Mary Lee Holifield. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family.
