Mildred C. Ludwig, 71, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance.
She was born on October 8, 1944 to Willie and Maxine (Fairchild) Harmon in Bonanza, Kentucky. On June 8, 1963 she married James Ludwig, who resides in Defiance.
Mildred owned and operated Klip & Curl Beauty Salon in Columbus Grove, Ohio, then became a Job Coach with Quadco Rehabilitation in Archbold. She was a former member of Ohio Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing and making costumes for the former Station Fun TV.
Mildred will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years, James Ludwig of Defiance, sons, Randall L (Kanita) Ludwig of Holland, Texas, and Michael (Dawn) Ludwig of Defiance, 6 grandchildren: Christine Ludwig (Danny Jo Spencer), Kayla (Colt) Laws, Aleasha (Jeff) Johns, Amanda (Michael) Redman, Joshua (Samantha) Ludwig, and Justin Ludwig, and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Maxine Harmon, one great-grandchild, Deven Dietrick, and brother, Paul Harmon.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the funeral home, with Pastor David Brobston.
