Mildred M. "Millie" Beindorf, age 97 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on November 13, 1925 to the late Albert and Zola (Miller) Hasselschwert in Defiance, Ohio. On March 20, 1948 she married Richard Beindorf, who preceded her in death on June 3, 1995. Millie was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. She worked at All Star Products in Defiance, and in the cafeteria for Defiance City Schools for 15 years until her retirement. Millie enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, sewing and her Bunco Club. Family was very important to her, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Millie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family members and friends. Millie is survived by her daughters, Pamela Nagy and Marsha (Bill) Wagner, all of Defiance, Ohio, four grandchildren, Tracy Robinson, Gary Snodgrass, Brad (Krista) Wagner and Jennifer (Mike) Hanna, nine great-grandchildren, Allosious Snodgrass, Savannah Robinson, Keira Wagner, Kaden, Kelsey and Kolton Hanna, Anissa Griffith, Isabell Bear, and Virginia Bear, and two great-great-grandchildren, Arielle and Starr Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Beindorf, brothers, Gerald and Russell Hasselschwert, sisters, D'Nelle Feeney, Loretta Myers, and Norma Jean Hasselschwert, and her twin siblings in infancy, John & Catherine Hasselschwert. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at St John United Church of Christ in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Rev. David Plant officiating. Entombment will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
