Michelle Anne (Porter) Walker, 53, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at her home in Defiance.

She was born on January 19, 1964 to Bud and Betty  (Dunlap) Porter in Ann Arbor, Michigan. On August 7, 2008 she married Jon Walker, who resides in Defiance.

Michelle earned her Associate's Degree from Jackson Community College in Jackson, Michigan, and was a nurse throughout Michigan and Ohio.  She was a member of Hebron Ministries in Defiance. Michelle was an all around artist, and she loved arts and crafts. She enjoyed painting, reading, knitting, and singing.

Michelle will be greatly missed by her loving spouse Jon Walker of  Defiance, daughters, Esteya Chirunga and Tschakha Chirunga, sons, Mothobi Chirunga, Daniel Cantu, and Josh Bryant, 5 grandchildren, and brother, Michael Porter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sandra Chirunga, and brother, Mark Porter.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Vincent Cantu officiating.
