Michael W. Wagner, age 78 of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Englewood Healthcare Center in Ft. Wayne. He was born on April 25, 1945 to Harold and Violet (Gerber) Wagner in Defiance, Ohio. Michael was a 1963 graduate of Defiance High School. On October 7, 1978 he married Carol Gee, who survives. Michael was a faithful member of Bethel Christian Church in Arthur, Ohio. He worked for over 25 years at General Motors until his retirement. He enjoyed music and was very skilled with  mechanical and electrical improvements. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and visiting his favorite local ice cream shop, Dee & Gee's in Ayersville. Michael is survived by his loving wife Carol Wagner, his daughter, Aimee (Anthony) Bell, all of Ft. Wayne, IN, and his son, Chris Wagner of Defiance. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Shawn Martinez, Axel and Alexis Bell, his sisters, Sue (Dale) Christ and Nancy (Larry) Werling, his brothers, Dan (Pat) Wagner and Steve (Eileen) Wagner, sister-in-law, Elaine (Dan) Stewart, his Aunt Leona May, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Wagner, and his brother-in-law, James Gee. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Bethel Christian Church in Arthur, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Pastor Chris Baker officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens in Defiance.
